Year 7
Starting Year 7, the first year of high school, is an exciting time in your child’s life. At Calvary, we understand the transition from Year 6 to Year 7 is a big milestone and can often be a little daunting. Year 7 at Calvary is designed to bridge the gap between Primary and Secondary and ease the students into a new environment and structure. It involves a close partnership between home and school to provide a stable and caring environment in which each student can grow and develop to their full potential.
Year 7 is designed as a ‘taste test’ of life at the Secondary College. Throughout the year, all Year 7 students will study core and elective subjects.
Transitioning to Year 7
Transitioning your child into the College - getting them familiar with their classroom, teachers and facilities, is an important part of the settling in process. The College runs a transition program called 'Unite' for students entering Year 7, in the year prior to commencement.
Enrolling in Year 7
Year 7 is a popular entry point into the College. If you are considering Calvary for Year 7, we recommend submitting your child's enrolment application at least 12 months to two years prior to the year they are due to commence Year 7. Each year, the majority of our current Year 6 students automatically rollover to Year 7, meaning places are limited in this year level.
